I’m the founder of My Market Scout, and I’ve spent years on both sides of the market world as a vendor and a market organizer. I know how exciting but also time consuming, and sometimes frustrating attending and organizing markets can be, which is exactly why I built this platform. I wanted to make it easier for organizers and vendors to find each other, plan ahead, and work together more smoothly.
My first time as a market vendor was when I worked for a cheese company travelling to markets all over Europe, the best student job ever! Since 2020 I am the market manager at the Revelstoke Local Food Initiative where I look after two weekly markets, one in the summer and one in the winter. In 2022 I was honoured to receive the Most Outstanding Community Impact Award for medium sized markets from the BC Farmers Market Association. I now serve on the Board of Directors with the BC Farmers Market Association and am a member of the Local Food Task Force with Columbia Basin Trust, where I continue to support strong and connected local food systems.
My “day job” joy is my consulting work through Senf Consulting, where I help food processors grow their production and take their businesses to the next stage. With a background as a trained chef and education in food technology, I love working alongside entrepreneurs as they figure out what growth looks like for them.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me outside around Revelstoke hiking, biking, skiing, camping, or canoeing. At home, I’m often gardening surrounded by my five chickens, the Spice Girls Rosemary, Marjoram, Pepper, Cinnamon, and Sage, playing with my dogs Yeti and Ace and spending time with my husband Mac.
I truly enjoy connecting with fellow market managers and vendors across the country. Click below to reach out!
